In order to realize the benefits of Cloud Computing, thorough assessment of business requirements and required security audit needs to be performed. The lure of Cloud is that businesses need not invest in costly Information Technology Infrastructure such as servers, support staff, networking equipment and network bandwidth etc. Cloud Infrastructure liberates businesses to focus on their core competency. It allows them to take advantage of a scalable Cloud Infrastructure that is reliable, secure, and cost effective.
Atlas Arc has successfully partnered with reputable Cloud Infrastructure providers such as Rackspace and Cloud Foundry to build robust web based applications.
Leveraging Responsive Design techniques, we build Web Applications that are pleasingly useable on PC browsers as well as mobile device browsers with engaging User Experience.
At Atlas Arc, we have been building web applications for our clients for over 10 years. Our clients belong to different industries such as Department of Defense, Airlines, Entertainment, Retail, and Telecommunications.
Last several years have seen phenomenal growth of mobile devices such as tablets, smartphones etc. belonging from a vast range of vendors such as Android, Apple, Microsoft, Research In Motion and the list goes on. Given this diversity, a common challenge that businesses face is platform dependence i.e. either pick one platform and try to force users to switch to that platform in order to use their mobile application. Obviously that doesn't work.
We, at Atlas Arc, use platform independent technologies to build Mobile Applications such that the applications are useable across different platforms with just one code base to maintain. Quite awesome, right? We think so too.
We have adopted the Agile Methodology and perfected it to suit our client needs. This enables us to maintain a light-weight (yet thorough) Software Process. Work is performed in 2 week iterations (called Sprints).
We take the time to understand the client requirements. Project Manager and System Architect will work closely with CPA staff to fully understand the requirement. This phase is called Requirement Analysis.
Once the requirements are understood, a detailed design document (DDD) is created, which documents the implementation details of the requirements.
Using the DDD, user stories (also known as use cases) are created in the Project Management Tool (such as JIRA). User stories are then broken down into smaller subtasks, each having a duration of 2 to 3 days.
The SCRUM Master initializes each Sprint by assigning subtasks to the developers.
At the end of each Sprint, functionality is deployed into the test environment for System Integration Testing.
Any defects or issues reported during System Integration Testing are tracked Contrary to traditional Waterfall Software process, in which entire functionality is delivered at the end of a long development phase, defects are much costly to fix.
We have proven track record of providing reliable Production Support to our clientele's mission/business critical applications. Each production incident is handled in a manner which resolves the issue swiftly, making sure that the fix is documented in manner where other support staff can readily look it up (Knowledge Based Systems). In doing so, we ensure the support doesn't become tribal knowledge.
Over 10 years of Build/Release Management experience has enabled to tune this critical process to a level where automated builds are cut on a continuous basis. We believe that the foundation of any serious Information Technology endeavor rests upon a solid Build/Release process, and we have perfected it.
